Ceramic Performance Guarantee

Coverage for installation-related defects and initial coating performance.

Managed Wrap Guarantee

Workmanship coverage for wrap installs performed by RetroClean approved partner shops.

  • Lifting or peeling edges
  • Air bubbles or improper adhesion not caused by external damage
  • Improper seams or alignment
  • Trim or panel-related installation errors directly attributable to workmanship

How resolution works

If a covered issue is confirmed after inspection, RetroClean will arrange corrective work at its discretion. Remedies are limited to correcting the specific installation or workmanship defect. No cash refunds are provided.

Important limits

RetroClean total liability under each guarantee is limited to the original amount paid for the applicable service, or for wrap, the affected area(s). These guarantees are non-transferable and apply only to the original customer and vehicle.

What does the Ceramic Performance Guarantee cover? +
It covers installation and application related issues reported within 30 days from vehicle delivery, including improper coating application, high spots, streaking or uneven curing under proper lighting, installation related coating failure due to improper prep or application, and failure to exhibit basic hydrophobic behavior at time of delivery. RetroClean may inspect to determine eligibility.
What is the guarantee period for ceramic? +
30 days from vehicle delivery. Concerns must be reported in writing within this period.
What does ceramic coating performance mean? +
Ceramic coating performance includes improved ease of washing, reduced surface contamination bonding, and enhanced gloss retention with proper care. It does not prevent the vehicle from getting dirty, eliminate the need for washing, prevent rock chips, scratches, or physical damage, or guarantee permanent water beading appearance. Hydrophobic behavior can vary over time due to washing methods, environment, and maintenance.
What happens if a ceramic issue is confirmed? +
RetroClean may re-level, reapply, or correct the affected area(s), or reapply ceramic coating to the affected panel(s) if necessary. Remedies are limited solely to correcting installation or application related issues. No cash refunds are provided.
What does the Managed Wrap Guarantee cover? +
It covers installation workmanship defects from wrap installation performed by a RetroClean approved partner shop, including lifting or peeling edges, air bubbles or improper adhesion not caused by external damage, improper seams or alignment, and trim or panel installation errors attributable to workmanship. RetroClean determines whether a reported issue qualifies.
What are the guarantee periods for wraps? +
Workmanship guarantee is 30 days from vehicle delivery. Edge and adhesion guarantee is 90 days from vehicle delivery. Issues must be reported in writing within the applicable period.
Are rock chips, accidents, or vandalism covered? +
No. Damage caused by accidents, road debris, rock chips, vandalism, or misuse is excluded from the guarantees.
Can automatic car washes or harsh chemicals void coverage? +
Yes. Damage caused by automatic car washes, improper washing, harsh chemicals, or chemical exposure is excluded. The guarantees assume proper wash techniques and products and no abrasive washes.
Can I transfer the guarantee to a new owner if I sell the car? +
No. Both guarantees are non-transferable and apply only to the original customer and vehicle.
Do you provide cash refunds under these guarantees? +
No. If a covered issue is confirmed, RetroClean obligation is limited to arranging or performing corrective work at its discretion.
Are vinyl material warranties included in the Managed Wrap Guarantee? +
Vinyl material warranties are provided solely by the manufacturer and are subject to the manufacturer terms and conditions. RetroClean does not extend or modify manufacturer warranties.
Governing law. Ceramic guarantee is governed by the laws of the state in which the service was performed. Wrap guarantee is governed by the laws of the state in which the service was booked.
Guarantee intent. These guarantees ensure quality control for installation and workmanship. They do not constitute an insurance policy, performance bond, lifetime warranty, or guarantee of durability without maintenance.
